Shopware and Magistry

Connect Shopware with an integration key and Magistry syncs your catalog and cost prices, and can write approved prices back under your pricing rules.

Status: Built, not live yet: no store has connected Shopware. Prices are the only thing Magistry writes to Shopware.

// what magistry does with it

What exists today

Products and variants synced with tax, manufacturer, options, images and categories.

Cost prices read where the shop states a purchase price.

Gross and list prices written back under the same margin floor and pricing rules as the Shopify price path.

What moves between Shopware and Magistry

Connection: Integration access key ID + secret (OAuth client credentials, short-lived bearer token).

SYNCS INTO MAGISTRY

  • Every product and variant, with tax, manufacturer, variant options, images, categories and tags.
  • Cost prices, where the shop states a purchase price.
  • The shop's system currency; a mismatch with the Magistry store's currency is refused.
  • Weights, always in kilograms.

MAGISTRY CAN CHANGE

  • Set a product or variant's gross price and list price, read back after the write; the same margin floor, pricing rules and false-saving check as the Shopify price path apply.
  • Revert a variant to inheriting its parent's price.

WHAT IT CANNOT DO

  • Change anything other than prices; the price write is the only write.
  • Put Shopware products in the product feed yet; they start inactive until the storefront URL is read.
  • Follow redirects on the shop address; enter the final https address.

// permissions

How to connect Shopware

Connections happen in the dashboard. Everything starts propose-only; autonomy is a separate step you take later.
  1. 1In the Shopware administration, open Settings → System → Integrations and click Add integration.
  2. 2Name it Magistry and tick Administrator, or give it a role that may read products, orders and customers (and edit products, for price changes).
  3. 3Copy the access key ID and the secret access key before you save; the secret is shown only once.
  4. 4Paste them in Magistry with your shop's https address; the key is checked before it is saved.
