// brand

Use the wordmark like it is yours, not ours.

We open-source most of our brand. The only rules that matter are the ones below — and we will happily approve creative work that breaks them on purpose. Email the design team and tell us what you are trying to do.

// wordmark

The wordmark and the mark.

One wordmark, one square mark. Both render at any size. The mark keeps its gradient at 24 pixels and above; below that, fall back to the mono monogram.
MMAGISTRY

// primary lockup · horizontal

// minimum sizes

  • Wordmark — no smaller than 96px wide on screen, 18mm in print.
  • Square mark — 32px favicon, 24px button glyph, never below.
  • Clear space — the height of the M on all four sides. Always.
  • Background — solid colour from the palette or a neutral photograph with a contrast ratio of 4.5:1 or higher.

// clear space

Give the mark room to breathe.

M

// 1× M of clear space

MAGISTRY

// colour

Six swatches. Most pages need three.

Light-mode first. Surface 0 and Surface 1 carry every page. Accent is the only saturated colour you should reach for. Signals stay reserved for status — never decoration.

Surface 0

#FAFBFD

--surface-0

Default page background. Cool-shifted near-white.

Surface 1

#FFFFFF

--surface-1

Elevated cards, dialogs, and dropdowns.

Accent

#2563EB

--accent

Single accent — primary blue. Use sparingly on CTAs.

Accent bright

#3B82F6

--accent-bright

Hover state, inline links inside body copy.

Signal go

#059669

--signal-go

Status only — live writes, healthy systems.

Iridescent

Gradient

iri-1 → iri-4

Reserve for a single punchline word per headline.

// typography

Geist Sans + Geist Mono.

Two families, four scales we lean on. Geist Sans for everything human-readable, Geist Mono for everything machine-shaped — labels, row IDs, code, kill-switch state.

// Display

Geist Sans · 84/96 · -2px tracking · 500

Hero headlines only. One per page.

Autonomy, audited.

// Heading 3

Geist Sans · 42/44 · -0.7px tracking · 500

Section titles and pre-footer CTAs.

Build the ledger first.

// Body

Geist Sans · 17/25 · 0px tracking · 400

Default reading size on marketing pages.

Every action recorded as an evidence-backed, reversible row in the decision log.

// Mono label

Geist Mono · 11/16 · 0.14em tracking · 500 uppercase

Eyebrows, captions, and row IDs. Always // prefixed.

// decision_log · row 0044C2

// voice & tone

Talk like an operator, not a brochure.

Magistry writes the way operators speak. Specific, declarative, mildly understated. Never breathless. If a sentence sounds like it could come from any other AI company, rewrite it until it cannot.

Do this

  • Lead with the row, then the prose.
  • Use mono labels with a // prefix as eyebrows.
  • Reserve iridescent type for one word per headline.
  • Quote a number when you have one — '11.4M decisions' beats 'millions'.
  • Show the kill switch in product shots; never crop it out.

Do not do this

  • Never letterspace the wordmark.
  • Do not place the mark on a textured photograph.
  • Avoid 'AI-powered', 'revolutionary', or 'cutting-edge'.
  • Never recolour the iridescent gradient.
  • Do not pair the wordmark with secondary lockups we did not ship.
