Lightspeed eCom and Magistry
Connect Lightspeed eCom with a read-only API key and Magistry syncs products, variants, brands and cost prices. Nothing is written back to your shop.

SYNCS INTO MAGISTRY
- Your catalog: products, variants and brands.
- Variant cost price, where the shop states one above zero.
- The shop's main currency, used to refuse a sync whose currency does not match the store.
- Product weight, in grams.
MAGISTRY CAN CHANGE
Nothing. Lightspeed eCom is connect-only: Magistry reads it and writes nothing back.
WHAT IT CANNOT DO
- Change anything in your shop: every call is a read.
- Store your orders or customers yet: the client can read them, but nothing persists them.
- Put Lightspeed products in the shopping feed yet: variants start inactive until the storefront URL is proven on a real shop.
- Remove products after a partial or rate-limited read; nothing is retired that the read did not see.

How to connect Lightspeed eCom
- 1In your Lightspeed eCom back office, open Settings → Store Settings → Developers and click New API key (needs an Advanced or Professional subscription).
- 2Name it Magistry, save, and switch the key on.
- 3Tick read for Products, Orders, Customers and Settings — no write permission is needed.
- 4Reveal the secret, then paste the API key and secret into Magistry and pick the EU or US cluster; Magistry reads the shop with the key before saving it.
