Outbrain and Magistry
Outbrain is connected and steered by Magistry's agents: campaigns, promoted links and daily performance sync in from Amplify, with pauses and budgets.
Status: Built and steered by Magistry's agents, and connectable from Settings → Integrations, but not live yet: no store has connected Outbrain, so there are no Outbrain results to report.

What moves between Outbrain and Magistry
SYNCS INTO MAGISTRY
- Campaigns with their on/off flag, whether they are actually serving and why not, and their budget (amount, period, shared or not).
- Promoted links (the ads) under each campaign, with their status.
- Daily campaign performance, including archived campaigns: impressions, clicks, spend, click-through conversions and their value.
MAGISTRY CAN CHANGE
- Pause or resume a campaign, checked against Outbrain's answer.
- Change a campaign's daily budget when that budget is daily and not shared with other campaigns, then confirm the new amount.
- Pause or resume a promoted link, verified by reading the link back.
WHAT IT CANNOT DO
- Change a monthly, lifetime or shared budget; the write is refused because it would change a period total or move other campaigns.
- Edit promoted-link text; an edit would send the link back through Outbrain's editorial review.
- Create campaigns or promoted links.
- Manage keywords, or block publishers or sections.
- Change the campaign CPC, bid strategy or targeting.

How to connect Outbrain
- 1In Magistry, open Settings → Integrations and find the Outbrain card, then press Connect.
- 2Ask your Outbrain account manager to enable Amplify API access for your login.
- 3Enter your Amplify username, password and marketer id (the id in your Amplify dashboard URL).
- 4Magistry makes the same read its sync makes and saves the credentials only if the platform answers; nothing is written to the platform during this check.
- 5Once saved, the platform is added to the store's active ad platforms so the regular ads sync starts reading it.

Common questions
Why can't Magistry change a monthly Outbrain budget?
Changing a monthly, lifetime or shared budget would move a period total or other campaigns, so Magistry refuses it.
